Last month, CSforCA delivered an impactful presentation at the Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE) 2023 Technical Symposium on Computer Science Education called Guide on the Side: School Leaders’ Case Studies Facilitating Equitable Computer Science Education in California. Presenters Julie Flapan (UCLA), Jean Ryoo (UCLA), Roxana Hadad (UCLA), Lauren Aranguren (Santa Barbara County Education Office), Steve Kong (Riverside Unified School District), and Sophia Mendoza (Los Angeles Unified School District) highlighted numerous CS-forward, equity centered models of education in school districts throughout the state. We’re looking forward to more opportunities to showcase the great work being done by California educators!
