CSforCA is a coalition of educators, industry leaders, nonprofit organizations, and higher education institutions. Our members span across California from cities, to rural towns, to suburbs. Our members are working on issues ranging from implementing equitable computer science, to teaching CS through a social justice lens.
“I’ve been teaching at Sweetwater High for 30 years, and I love the community there. The way I see it, computer science education is a great equalizer. It gives students the power to do whatever it is they want to do, and opportunities they wouldn’t have had otherwise. I believe California can lead the way in computer science equity, and CSforCA will get us there”
- Art Lopez, Sweetwater High.
“With so much change in the education sector, the CSforCA coalition is a constant positive piece. It helps us know that we are not alone in this process; there is a community and support system for computer science educators”
– Sophia Mendoza, Director of LAUSD's Instructional Technology Initiative
CSforCA spans the entire state of California! Coalition members, partner institutions, and individuals are working hard across the entire state to spread CSforCA’s message:
